The Kyoto Distillery is proud to announce the opening of its first brand house, The House of KI NO BI, next spring in central Kyoto city, and we are looking for team members who can share our passion for the KI NO BI brand with domestic and International customers.

The House of KI NO BI will showcase the world of KI NO BI in various ways:

The Tasting Seminar at which you can taste 6 kinds of botanical liquid.

The Tasting Seminar at which you can taste 6 kinds of botanical liquid aka [6 Elements] that make up KI NO BI, along with an explanation about the history of The Kyoto Distillery and the reason why we chose Kyoto for our home.

The Blending Seminar is available in Labo room.

The Blending Seminar at which you can blend your very own gin choosing from 15 or more different kinds of botanical liquids.

You can buy limited edition gins and original KI NO BI merchandise.

The KI NO BI Shop where you can buy limited edition gins and original KI NO BI merchandise along with our core products such as KI NO BI, KI NO TEA and KI NO BI SEI.

An Exhibition Space where you can experience KI NO BI through your five senses.

An Exhibition Space where you can experience KI NO BI through your five senses. A 5m long KI NO BI photo wall, botanical aroma sprays, music made from the actual sounds recorded in the distillery, a VR distillery tour, etc.

Job Description

  1. Full-Time Staff : Shop Operation
    • KI NO BI Shop Operation
    • Cocktail making and serving
    • Food preparation and serving

  2. Part-Time Staff : Customer Service
    • Customer service in the KI NO BI shop
    • Drink making and serving
    • Food preparation and serving
    • Outside event participation

Qualification Requirements

  1. Full-Time Staff
    • Candidates must be 20 years of age or more without health issues. A Working Visa is required for non-Japanese candidates.
    • Conversational level or above Japanese and English skills are required. (Chinese skill is also preferable)
    • Experience of working in bar/restaurant industry is preferable.
  2. Part-Time Staff
    • Candidates must be over 20 years of age or more without health issues. A Working Visa is required for non-Japanese candidates.
    • Conversational level or above Japanese and another language skills are required. (English or Chinese skill is preferable)
    • Experience of working in bar/restaurant industry is preferable.

Work Location

  • The shop in central Kyoto city.
  • Training will also take place at The Kyoto Distillery in Minami-ku, Kyoto.
  • Successful candidates may also be asked to work at outside events in Kyoto and elsewhere.

Working Hours

  1. Full-Time Staff
    • Shifts scheduled for 8 hours between 9AM and 9PM plus 1 hour break.
  2. Part-Time Staff
    • Shifts scheduled for between 6 hours up to 9 hours from 11AM to 9PM plus break, according to actual working hours.

Working Days

  1. Full-Time Staff
    • 2 days holidays per week, decided by shift schedule.
  2. Part-Time Staff
    • 3 days or more work will be preferable.

Salary

  1. Full-Time Staff
    • Decided by initial meeting. Former experience will be considered. 3 months probation period will be required.
  2. Part-Time Staff
    • Start from 1,100 yen per hour. This will be reviewed and increased after successful completion of a 2 month probation period.
